Photographer's Note

It's at the north-eastern extremity of Iceland, between the bay of Brúnavík and the fishermen village of Bakkagerdi, that we find these superb mountains of rhyolite. Ochres, Bordeaux wines, brown or black, those are all very beautiful.
Among the five tops which make this corner of country, Geitfell is the highest with its 587 m. It precedes Svartfell, the top from where this photography was taken.
