Photographer's Note
The TS Lord Nelson, N.E. of Iceland, bound ultimately for Quebec. The previous day the ship had been sailing (cautiously!) through thick fog with 100m visibility. Then this. Not bad, eh?
The "state" name is obviously wrong, but it seems you can't upload an image without a designated state name. TE seems only to trek the land, not the oceans...

Hello
Deep blue was always one of my favourite colours and I like such photographs. I've rarely been on these waters and envy you a lot...
Agree about limitations of potographs tagging on TE!
I was going to post a sunrise photo taken near Ascension Island yesterday but couldn't find it on the list of locations. I am also struggling with quality of uploaded photographs which always get seriously degraded. Is it because of satellite link being used or there is something else that I am doing wrong?
Good luck on your trip.

Hello Will,
This is a stunning photograph!
I like how you have aligned the rope and part sail with the icebergs.
There is a great sense of depth to the tiny spots of land in the distance.
The icebergs, with their contrasts of light and shadow, look magnificent, so visibly lacking the danger that they present!
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Bonjour Will,
J'aime beaucoup la construction de cette image. Les voiles dans le coin gauche te situent bien et l'iceberg ressemble à un gros bateau blanc dans un ciel sans nuage.
Amicalement

Hello Will,
I didn't know this was your kind of sail-ship. Bound "ultimately" for Quebec - does that mean you got off before that? I like how you included the interesting details of the traditional ship to balance the view of the iceberg and to explain the conditions of the journey in these waters. The colours of the sky and water are stunning, and equally stunning are the shapes and colours of the iceberg.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Will,
Not bad? After the average 30 Celsius degree heat here in Hungary for the last three weeks, I want to jump into that picture. :)
Best Wishes,

Hi Will
Nice way to get some ice cubs for a drink! But it's really tremendous to sail in the fog between the icebergs, it's better to see them as in your picture, but not to close. Nice detail of the bottom of the sail and rope
Cheers

Hi Will,
quite a dangerous sail. You could have ended up like Titanic...
With low visibility meeting an iceberg like this could be disastrous.
Great weather day here though. Clarity is amazing. The ice is so photogenic!
I really dream about going to Antarctic someday.
Beautiful work here,
M

Hello Will, Such a meeting with iceberg can be dangerous for the ship, if we remember that almost 91% of an iceberg is below the surface of the water. Wonderful picture. Deep blue sea and cloudless blue sky . I can see other icebergs very far on the left. The iceberg on the right looks a bit like a dune, but in white. Good inclusion of the ropes. we can imagine how close the iceberg was.
Kind regrads MAlgo

Good evening Will, and many thanks for your critique, put the right words where my English did not have sufficient vocabulary.
As for this picture, an awesome nature's phenomenon, global-warming, that drives iceberg with the size of a "Titanic" sailing out the ocean. Clear and distinct contrast from sea to sky, and white on blue. Deliberately you left the sails for scale to the scene, bravo for that.
Regards,
Ike

Hi Will,
This iceberg seems to be very tall, almost like a boat.
The picture is great, beautiful colors, very clear.
I took a look at your photos.. congratulations, wonderful places.
Greetings
Janusz
