Photographer's Note

Walking into old buildings, courtyards, passageways are one of the most enjoyable discoveries for me in Budapest. Though Parisi Udvar was not new to me, finding the little staircase and a new vantage point from above were. I was engrossed by the light creeping into this neo-gothical-secessionist palace, designed by Henrik Schmal in 1909. Gladly there were a few passersby to rush through, unaware of me standing upstairs on an inner balcony.

The colour version is in the Workshop, if you care to look.

Title taken from Leonard Cohen's song "Dance Me to the End of Love"--

"Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic 'til I'm gathered safely in
Lift me like an olive branch and be my homeward dove
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Oh let me see your beauty when the witnesses are gone
Let me feel you moving like they do in Babylon
Show me slowly what I only know the limits of
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love"
--Leonard Cohen
