Photographer's Note
This is Heroe's Square, a major square situated right next to the entrance to the city park Varosliget. It is on the UNESCO Heritage list. On the square you can find the Millennium Monument, celebrating the one thousandth anniversary of the leaders of the seven tribes that founded Hungary in the 9th century.
About the picture well it's a long exposure at blue hour (can't help it!) but since the blue wasn't so blue, I opted for a blakc and white conversion.

Bonjour Philippe!

Beau rendu d'ensemble.

Hello Philippe - I think the B&W conversion gives the shot a very dramatic feel which works well with the symmetry and graphic aspects of the composition. The contrast between the hard-edged architecture and soft sky is really attractive and I love the star bursts created by your small aperture. Warm regards rosemary

Bonjour Philipe

Yves.

Hello Philippe,
I can only say:WOW!The idea to convert it to B&W was excellent.Long shutter speed brings out all details of the scene.Even the wet pavement creates so lovely looking reflections.Another highlight is for me undoubtedly the dramatic and kind of dangerous looking cloud formations.Brilliant composition and perfect B&W treatment!
Have a nice day

Hi Philippe
I like the effect you have created using long exposure at low light hour, a well captured and thoughtful piece of photo works I particularly like your symmetrical composition providing a much more visually interesting focus straight onto the main interest with excellent foreground. Good tonal range, clarity and presentation with good detail and the sparkles are real bonus here. Excellent work in mono. Congrats
Best regards

Dear Phil
Fantastic title that immediately brings to mind David Bowie. The B&W is superb and I love the reflections on the pavement. The graphism is stunning, as is the perspective and the effects of the wide angle lens. A cracking photo, congrats.
And a very Merry Christmas to you and your loved one. I wish you health, happiness and lots of travel in 2013

Bonjour Philippe,
Pascal.

Bonjour Philippe
Converted to B&W, the cripness of the shot makes it for me! Well work with the exposure management and the symmetry of the shot with the background of the cloudy sky. Good lead-in with the design on the floor
Best,
Angshu

I have never imagine to make a night photo into black and white, since night shot is about color of the light, but the result here is really wonderful. I'm surprised. Congratulations.
