Photographer's Note

Lake Rudabánya, a former excavation site of iron ore (thus the reddish tones of the stones), which was slowly filled with water by mother nature after the mine was close. Today it is the deepest lake of Hungary. In the WS you may find another reflection.

Hello Gyorgy,
A wonderful view of the lake and its calm waters, which reflect the rock formations and steep slopes very well. The gentle light works very well for the reddish tones as well as the patch of green at right.

Hi Gyorgy,i think that you like dark lights considering the history of your pics,but this time I prefere the view in WS,more clear and more bright. Still 2 excellent view of reflections in this lake born from an old mine,i like it! Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello György,
Perhaps the colours and patterns are more attractive in the WS, but this is a more interesting and complex composition. It's probably the green plants to the right that make it, and the light falling on them contrasting with the darker tones of the hillside and the green lake.

It is interesting seeing an old iron ore mine with red rock as at most of the ore mined where I have visited in Australia the type of iron ore has a blue colour.
A good photo of the old quarry.

The fresh green reeds extremely standout colour wise, pulling the eye throughout this smaller section of the mirror lake. It does create such a wonderful contrast to the backdrop while the still water reflection is quite mouth-watering, just so exquisitely exposed. Congrats
