Photographer's Note
'Hello Tourist!' - Its my personal favourite from the series, maybe because we don't often see tourist being so obviously tourist on the 'most famous main street on TE.' While Miskolctapolca, the spa and holiday part of the town is popular among Slovakian, Polish, Romanian and Ukranian tourists, they don't often come to the downtown, since they came for the Cave Bath or one of the spa resorts and get everything they need there.
Or maybe because the officer supervising the scene made me remember the song of a Hungarian rock song about the socialist times: 'its a nice and clean house with decent people, the warden sees everything.'Plates stating that a house was nice and clean was a thing back then. It was a promotion from the sanitary authority for houses that fitted the sanity regulations. And of course the wardens - often being officers of the state security - saw if someone did something that went against the morals of a socialist man. - Of course being only three at the time of the change of regime, I only know it from stories and documentaries on the topic.

Hello György,
That man looks perfectly dressed for a hot day on the beach, maybe less so for city sightseeing. If "dzsungel" means what i looks like, he is not protected against the swarms of aggressive insects that inhabit the jungles. I wonder if the man standing at the gate is an old time state security warden who managed to keep his job. He looks like he is wondering if the other man fits the sanity regulations. There is a nice silhouette near the courtyard.
Another fun photo.
Regards,
Gert

Hello Gyorgy,
The clothing of this couple gives the impression that this was a very hot day!
It's an interesting shot which I couldn't help reading as a story: the couple are frantically consulting their guide book, trying to find the directions to the spa and wondering where they have gone wrong ... ending up in the city centre!!!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Bonjour Gyorgy,
Une belle scène prise sur le vif. On dirait des touristes qui cherchent leur chemin. Mettons que les vêtements du monsieur sont très relax.
Amicalement

Hi Gyorgy
Singlet and shorts - definitely catches the feeling of summer in this appealing setting and I do like that shop frontage. The two who are highly engrossed in their map would be enough but with the spectator and the mystery ghost, you have the cherry on the cake. Great street photography; observation, timing, composition getting them all in and of course b&w. Congrats
Best regards

Hello Gy
I love the idea of a sanity inspector: it's straight out of Kafka! (Did you mean "sanitary"?) Classic street photography, and I particularly like the covered alleyway and the two figures counterpointing our two tourists.
Best regards
Will
