Photographer's Note

A photo from an autumn hiker trip in the Bükk mountains. You can say it's nothing, but empty benches and a table again, but for me it's much more personal. It was shot near Gyula Source (Gyula-forrás in Hungarian) in the Bükk mountains, 2 kilometers from a ranch named Bánkút.

And what's the personal, You may ask. Well, the source was named after my great-grandmother's brother, Gyula Erdey, who was the most famous hiker of the Bükk mountains in the 1st half of the 20th century (died in 1956), he wrote 3 books: hiker / tourist guides about Bükk mountains he loved so much. He was also the 1st steward of the famous Bánkút alpine hut and the director of a hiker club. 9 years after his death, in 1965, the club officially gave his first name to this source, closed to the ranch he worked on so much.

Seems like there's a lot of Uncle Gyula's blood in my veins, because I love these mountains as much as he did - although I don't have a membership in the club (which still exists), I like to hike with my father and sons only.

You can see the source itself here, on a site about Bükk mountains.

Weather conditions: misty, rainy. PP: almost nothing except framing, signing, re-sizing. I hope You'll like this, from my side emotional capture.

Somehow similar, but different image of this scene may be seen on TrekLens.
