Photographer's Note

No, you are not infront of an graphical and traditional orthodox greek church, somewhere in an Aegian greek island of Kyklades.

You are looking the church of Panagia Laggadiotissa, a small and very beautiful "Kyklades style" church located at the north area of the city of Chalkis.

The ...prototype of this church is at Laggada in Minor Asia and the people from there, who came to Chalkis at 1922, they built this church to keep alive the memories from their lost homeland. Of course, the church is not so old. Actually I don't remember when they built it, but in front of Panagia, the view to the North Eyboikos Golf is magnificent!
