Photographer's Note
In my previous photo from Areopagus, here:
https://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/Greece/photo1590007.htm
there was a nice couple. A lady was enthusiastically pointing her hand towards the view. Some of you were curious to see the other part of the view. Indeed, the couple has proven to be very photogenic, very useful to have in the foreground. So here the same couple sitting in the same spot but I walked around them to take photo towards the view they admired. Sometimes I wish I could take photos of friends or family like that but it is really hard to make people pose in an interesting way like that. Plus of course having unknown people in the frame is anyway better for TrekEarth ToS.
The characteristically shaped mountain is called... yes that is a good question, I have seen numerous spellings of this place and it is not only due to translation from Greek to Latin alphabet. It is a frequent problem when you try to get somewhere in Greece and you don’t know what name to use… so everyone, this is Mount Lycabettus, Lycabettos, Lykabettos or Lykavittos (Greek: Λυκαβηττός).

Hello Mariusz,
You have found another very interesting angle for a view across the city to the curious mountain, emerging like a volcano from between the characteristically-coloured, white buildings.
Having that couple in the f/g makes so much sense! They become a focal point, give details of the low sunlight and guide from the corner, on a diagonal, into the scene.
Have a good w/e,
Bev :-)

Town view with the Lycabettus cone-shaped mountain looks rising from within, Mariusz.
You had fantastic light condition, and I find the outcome most attractive, exceptional inded.
Wish you a nice weekend,
Ike

Hello Mariusz,
A great view of the hill, which is pretty steep and high. The city surrounds it very nicely and I like the warm hue the sunlight cast onto the many houses and the trees in the foreground. The couple was a good bonus to the foreground as well.

Hello Mariusz,
Wonderful view over Athens towards the Lycabettus.
But what makes it so beautiful? The light and the many colours in an otherwise often gray concrete city!
Well balanced photo with the couple in the right bottom corner and the famous Lycabettus in the opposite corner of the picture.
Best regards, Paul

Bonjour, cher Mariusz,
une fois, encore, vous avez trouvé le lieu idéal pour présenter la ville sous son plus bel aspect.
La présence de personnages enrichit d'une bien belle façon cette composition.
Amitiés.

Hello Mariusz
Classic view, superbly captured on a great sunny day. Usually there seems to be a haze hovering over the city. Here it is really clear! Top shot!
