Photographer's Note

Monemvasia is located at the foot of the high rock called "Gibraltar of Greece". This location was the best place to defend the town against enemy attacks.
My photo was taken from the upper town of Monemvasia.

Superb contrasts of blue and brown, of sea and land. This view from above gives a spectacular view of the small village with its brick roofs, and we get clear proof of how steep the sides of the rock are. The photo has wonderful sharpness and colours.

Yes, that's one of those superb views taken from the edge of the upper town. I suppose you've also seen the St. Sophia (Hagia Sophia) there.
Wonderful combination of red roofs and the blue Aegean sea. Also a very nice contrast between the cozy small town and the rough rock wall next to it. We also see a part of the path you climbed to get to your point of view.

Hello Ryszard, a very impressive and high point of view looking down on the rooftops of this little town..
The sunlight brings out all the beautiful colours; and the warm colours of the buildings contrasts beautifully with the blue sea.

Hello Ryszard,
A great photo of the small town located between the coast and the steep cliffs. The viewpoint was amazing and included the wide blue sea as a marvellous background, which adds a good contrast with the warm colours of the foreground. Great work!

Great shot looking down on Monemvasia, Ryszard. When I visited it a couple of years ago, the upper town was closed! Great to see it opened up again.

That's a smashing view point from the cliff but quite a tumble, very wary near ridges. The ripply deep blue water grabs the eye as a superb colour separator to brown tone areas. Excellent composition wonderful light & lots of detail. Fab capture and tfs.

quel jeu de mur en premier plan et ce chemin quie descen quelle couleur et vue sur ce village en fond collé contre la falaise ces maisons toutes collées les unes aux auxtres et l'ocre ce rouge sur les toit et ce contraste avec le bleu de la mer sueprbe captage.

The red roofs and brown brick structures are quite different to those in the Cyclades group that are usually blue and white. Good sharpness and downward pov. Tfs!

wow,ale niesamowita kompozycja. Wspanialy punkt widzenia, bardzo wyjatkowa perspektywa.
To obramowanie po obu stronach sprawia wrazenie ze miasteczko bardzo ciasno wcisniete jest miedzy skaly. Zreszta tak wlasnie chyba jest.
Morze czerwonej dachowki przechodzi w prawdziwe morze jednakowo pomarszczone.
