Photographer's Note

This poisonous evergreen shrub grows all over Greece and the Mediterranean. It comes in white, pink to red colours and can grow to 6 meters. This little scarlet red plant resides in a pot outside the entrance to a hotel that sits on the very edge of the caldera at Oia in Santorini. The toxicity of Oleander is considered to be very high and pervades all parts of the plant. It is quite lethal to humans and animals alike if ingested.
