Description of Region
Steep limestone mountain with many inaccessible vrachoplagies. Limited Abies forest cover the northern and southern region. The human presence is small and the main business is farming.

Habitat: Rocky areas (Internal steep rocks, Surrey (scree) and boulders), Forests and woodlands (Native coniferous forests ecotox forest boundaries), Scrub (sclerophyllous scrub, maquis and gkarigk)

Erimanthos or Olonos is elongated with many peaks condition, like a mountain range extends the limits of Achaia and Ilia. It is south-westerly direction, the highest peak is Oleni (Olonos) which is 2224 meters and is located in the prefectures of Achaia and Ilia. East creates ramifications such as high peaks, and the euphonious term Lampeio. It is the fourth guest at a height of peaks is Peloponnisou.Alles Moungila (2169 m), the Prophet Elias (2124 m), the Pyrgaki (2050 m), the Neraidovouni (1923 m), the high Tourla (1891 m), the Blade (1541 m), the Melissovouni (1464 m), and St. Athanasius (1219 m). It has forests of firs, oaks, cedars, pines and hollies. From this stem rivers Pinios, celery, Erimanthos experience and Parapeiros etc. It belongs to a geological area Oleni - Pindos and protected areas Natura 2000.

In ancient times considered residence of Diana and Pan. According to legend, the king of Arcadia Lycaon had a descendant named Erimanthos and by him was named the mount.Diana "petrified" the Erymanthos because he saw her take a bath with Adonis, Apollo to avenge transformed a boar and killed Adonis. In this condition and Heracles killed the Erymanthian boar, which had become the scourge of the region. The Erimanthos appears as the founder of Psofida, economically strong, ancient city of Arcadia.

Erimanthos from antiquity to the early 18th century belonged to Arcadia.

9500 ha of Important Bird Areas (IBA) is a wildlife sanctuary (Doxara-Koriza/Kalentzi-Drosia-Spartia).
