Photographer's Note
Here you can see 2 of the major monasteries of Meteora (and if you could see the large version, you would also see a 3rd one in the distance, Agia Triada Monastery), the Varlaam monastery, on the left and Roussanou Monastery in the centre, surround by fog.
Varlaam monastery took its name by the first monk who climbed the 595 metres of the vertical rock in the 14th century, Varlaam, the one who built the first church on the rock. (although in the photo it seems that this rock is connected with the rest of the land, it's not true, the only way to reach there was to climb, nowadays you can reach through a bridge).
Roussanou monastery (or Agias Varvaras monastery) was established probably in 1388 by monks Necodemos and Benediktos.

Hello dear Hercules,
This one is also wonderfull !
Again perfect pov and very nice soft colors and perfect light management.
Thin layer of snow on roofs and the fog gives a special and misterious character to the scenery.
TFS and have a nice weekend
Best regards

Ciao Hercules,
I visited these incredible monasteries some 20 years ago....and I was astonished by the magic of them.
Placed on the top of those rocks, like an eagle's nest...close to the sky and good...there was such a peace in them....
this is a pretty different picture...the mist adds some more mystery...
well done

Hi Hercules,
Woooowww!
In the thumbnail I thought it is from Yucatan Mexico and the Maya Temples among the mist. But to my surprise it is from Thessaly. Even that mist and height it is a very clear photo with great colors. A great surprise. How did you climb over there? Looks very high and sharp.
Thank you and congratulations!

Hello Hercules!
Another wonderful picture! The viewpoint was very priviledged and superbly chosen! The composition was very well elaborated and it was pretty effective to create such an attractive and truly beautiful picture! I really like seeing all those different rock formations together with the constructions (harmoniously it seems)! The low clouds are a highlight too!
Amazing view!
TFS - Congratulations!

Hello Hercules,
This is a strange place indeed!
The human activity seems to merge well with the special nature, and the fog in the canyon adds a mysterious touch to the place...
The presentation is well composed with good details, the strong foreground creates a nice feeling of depth!

Hi Hercules,
excellent capture of the monastery with a mysterious atmosphere. The colors are very beautiful and moody. But comparing the original version and the photo in WS I am in doubt concerning the mood. I think that B&W brings out the mood of this place in a more impressive way. Anyway, both images are fantastic. TFS!

Hi Hercules,
Yet another surprising look and feel of Greece, as I've noticed in some of previous critiques for your pictures.
Thanks for the effort of hiking those "secret" paths in order to show us these wonders :)
