Photographer's Note
Today's photographers think differently. Many can't see real light anymore. They think only in terms of strobe - sure, it all looks beautiful but it's not really seeing. If you have the eyes to see it, the nuances of light are already there on the subject's face. If your thinking is confined to strobe light sources, your palette becomes very mean - which is the reason I photograph only in available light. - Alfred Eisenstaedt -
I waited, focused, waited again for several minutes, then - remember, I always behaved like an amateur with a little equipment - click, it was done. - Alfred Eisenstaedt,
We are only beginning to learn what to say in a photograph. The world we live in is a succession of fleeting moments, any one of which might say something significant. When such an instant arrives, I react intuitively. There is, I think, an electronic impulse between my eye and my finger. But even this is not enough. I dream that someday the step between my mind and my finger will no longer be needed. And that simply by blinking my eyes, I shall make pictures. Then, I think, I shall really have become a photographer. - Alfred Eisenstaedt
Yes, I sold buttons to earn living. But I took pictures to keep on living. Pictures are my life – as necessary as eating or breathing. - Alfred Eisenstaedt,
Once the amateur's naive approach and humble willingness to learn fades away, the creative spirit of good photography dies with it. Every professional should remain always in his heart an amateur. - Alfred Eisenstaedt
I enjoy traveling and recording far-away places and people with my camera. But I also find it wonderfully rewarding to see what I can discover outside my own window. You only need to study the scene with the eyes of a photographer. - Alfred Eisenstaedt -

Hi Georgios,
The thumbnail of this image captures one's immediate attention. Very nice late afternoon light on this wonderful landscape. The tree intersecting the boat is the only drawback for this image.

Hi Georgios,
I really like this photo, the light is great and it is exposed very well. Compositionally I love the way your eye travels through the gap straight to the sun. Also the forground is heavy as it should be with the grasses on the left at the right height. The position of the tree is also optimal. The only remark I would make is that ideally the boat should have been a bit more on left but not blocking the gap or should I say I wish te tree was a bit on the right not intercepting the boat.
Great shot
Thanks for sharing

Hello Georgios!
Beautiful place!
Attractive picture!
I love the colors in the sky and in those lovely reflections on the water surface!
Horizontal format, management of light and level of sharpness also pleased me!
Chosen pov and composition are also great with a single "but": that tree intersecting the boat as someone has already said!
TFS - congrats,
Cheers,
Neyvan

Hi Georgios,
You're capturing well this landscape by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the timeless world with beautiful nature. It's so effective that the sunset color is shining and projected to the water between low mountains. It's impressive in mountain layers at right side, too. And, the lonely tree draws out a good effect in this image as well as a boat on water and the reflection. Very poetic photograph!
Kind regards,
mikio

Georgios
Une photo d'une grande sérénité aux fantastiques teintes. La composition est bonne; je regrette juste un peu que le bateau soit un peu coupé par l'arbre.
Amicalement

Hello Georgios,
One of the best sunsets I have seen in a while. Beautifully composed and with a lovely range of red and pinky blue tones. The atmosphere is sublime.

A most fabulous sunset, Georgios.
We see many sunsets sceneries on TE, but I admit this is a unique view, mild toens and silhouettes, and great silky water surface with reflection.

Hi Georgios,
I'm comparing your both "see real light anymore" photos. I prefere this one. I don't like the other one with the tree cutting the hill. This one would be perfect if you move the viewpoint a bit more to the left, so the tree would be ont boat right side. The evening light is excellent and the light reflections almost perfect. Well done. Thanks for your notes.

Hi Georgios, I have been studying these two pictures you took very close to each other on a slightly different POV ( better for this one in my opinion.)
I expect this one was taken last, when the sky had caught fire, but the sun was still in the same position.
Lovely POV from this scraggly tree acting as witness to the scene.
The still boat adds to the peaceful atmosphere , and my eyes wander behind those elegant hills in the background, through the narrow straight they form.
Is that a monastery we can see on top of the left hill, which would be so typical of Greece, with such a lovely view for the monks !
Thanks for sharing .
Marie-Louise.
