The Holy Temple of Virgin Mary of Chryssopigi was built in 1650.It is standing on a small rocky cape which is separating from Sifnos mainland, with a narrow sea channel. Inside the church you can see the picture of Virgin Mary which was found in the sea by fishermen and it is miraculous. Chissopigi is the protector of the island and there is a feast taking place, every year, the day of Resumption (40 days after Easter).

what a lovely sight ! Looking at this beautiful picture, i can understand, why the cyclades are such a lovely spot...
great colors, fine depth and a very good composed shot..

To aperanto galazio apla siglonistiko kanei poli kali antithesi me to paradosiako leuko ton Kikladon.
