Photographer's Note

Well, first of all, I know Santorini is an island, not a city or village. But I though it would be easier to place here.

In fact this is OIA.

Yes, during my last travel to Greece also I spend time in Santorini. And I was in Oia for the sunset.
Hundred of people were waiting the end of the day and they shake their hands when the Sun gone out.

I was on an old castle or fortress where was possible see this side of the city and also the sea and the Sun on the horizont.

Then I waited for the sunset. In fact, this picture was made just in the moment when the Sun had gone out and I must say I'm happy with all the photos I made that evening.

I remember how a man, from Belgium, asked me with an old and compact camera what had to do for take picture of the sunset. And also I remember how a German man said to me he had been there only 30 years ago and all was destroyed.
In 1956 an earthquake shake the island and these houses fall down.

Well, I could say more things about that day and about this photo... but I prefer add the next one: this is my 50th picture from Greece.

I hope you like.

(yesterday I spend all the day in Santiago de Compostela... maybe I will post some picture from there)
