Paros island

Paros (Greek: Πάρος,Venetian: Paro) is an island of Greece in the central Aegean Sea. One of the Cyclades island group, it lies to the west of Naxos, from which it is separated by a channel about 8 km (5 mi) wide. It lies approximately 100 nmi (185 km) south-east of Piraeus. Today, Paros is one of the most popular European tourist hotspots. The Municipality of Paros includes numerous uninhabited offshore islets totaling 196.308 km² of land. Its nearest neighbor is the Community of Antiparos, lying to its southwest. Paros also became known for its fine white marble which gave rise to the term Parian which is used for China and fine marbles worldwide.

A very intense sunset, conveying an atmosphere of end of summer. It's an hour of the day which I love very much to stay at sea side like this little girl who seems so confortable there!
(Some times in summer we bring some food to the beach and dine there untill it's dark... much better than staying at home!)

Yes, it seems that it is too late to remain in this beach, but I think that this person was enjoying the immense peace and the wonderful scene of the sunset.
I like the orange tones in the sky and the silvered tones in the sea, that they acquire a great beauty with the weak luminosity of the moment.

That is a last second sunset, just before it would have been too late, but you got the shot with all the red , orange and yellow hues. The sea looks like chocolate, a bit strange, I have no idea how that could happen. Very nice shot, well done

- It's true that is a bit too late but I like these pictures of sunset on the edge of the night a minute later and it's too late, but often a few minutes earlier and the magic is not there yet, difficult to fall just right, at least you were able to suggest a superb atmosphere, bravo!

In the low light, with the setting sun in the horizon, the girl sits there under the umbrella as the waves lap next to her. Its a a very nice shot, maybe a bit on the darker side, but full of mood and mysticism, and perhaps the viewer gets more curious about the subject as well. it's late, yes, but who could leave without having admired the beatiful sunset? It is interesting that dark tones and waves are not necessarily dramatic (though at first sight yes), for me they express here rather a kind of intimacy: finally darkness also means that the world has been shrinked into a small visible area. Anyway, the photo has a pleasant atmosphere, I would like to change with the girl sitting there!

This was probably required lot's of patient to wait till the very last moment with the sun "touchdown" the horizon.
A minute before complete darkness prevailed. Yet, the young lady under the parasole doe's not want to go home until the magic moment would be over...
