Photographer's Note

This photo was taken with my extreme wide angle lens. I was really looking forward to seeing how the lens showed off the cliff buildings in Santorini, so needless to say I had lots of fun during this photo shoot.

It was taken on our very first evening on the Island. In fact, we almost missed Blue Hour and Sunset because our flight was delayed 3 hours from Athens due to high winds.

When we finally arrived, we were graciously greeted by our hotel manager. He was hilarious! He was SOOOO apologetic. He kept apologizing for it being cloudy and cool. He would go on and on, saying how sorry that we arrived with bad weather lol

He would apologize for it being cloudy tomorrow and only about 85 degrees...Tosca and I couldn't believe it. I guess when you grow up in a certain climate, you get accustomed to it huh :)

We explained to him that the clouds were actually a good thing because we want it for photography...he didn't understand it at all :)

As for the photo, we made it JUST in time, arriving with only a few minutes to spare. We asked the hotel manager to show us where to go for the best views, this is the place he guided us towards.

Hope you like it this HDR shot
