Photographer's Note

My first panorama (two different photos stiched together in Photoshop) in TE and it's from one of my favourite greek islands, Milos (for me one of the top 3). From the castle above the island's capital, Plaka you can see one of the finest Aegean sunsets.

Some of the reasons why you should visit Milos:
-It's an open "museum" dedicated to mother Earth. Nature uses here all the colour pallete to paint the ground, the rocks, the beaches and the seawater.
-Has more than 70 beautiful beaches, among them the world famous "Sarakiniko", that with its white rocks reminds of a moon landscape. Be careful with the sun there, ti burns twice because it's reflected to the white rocks.
-A perfectly well preserved ancient Theatre and the place where the famous statue of "Afrodite of Milos" was found.
-Some of the world's largest catacombs , second only to the ones in Rome
-A great natural "pool" in Papafrangos Cave
-One of the finest open bars in Greece, called "8 Beauforts" in the beautiful village of Pollonia.
-Exquisite Mediterranean Cuisine. You have to taste "pitarakia".
-A lot of beautiful tiny islands in very short distance
-Some of Greece's most interesting tradicional seaside villages with very small houses (no more than 25-20 m2) right beside the waves, called "syrmata". The apotheosis of minimalism.

It's good quality for a fist panorama :-)

May be a sun too close to the edge of photo.

Hola Hercules,
Un paisaje de una belleza excepcional con esta bella puesta de sol.
Estas islas las tengo que visitar algún dia, entre tus fotos y las de Crateos nos estáis invitando contínuamente a ello, por su belleza.
Perfecto empalme de las dos fotos, con un POV perfecto, encuadrando el sol a la derecha de la imagen, que crea unos hermosos reflejos en el mar e ilumina una ¿iglesia? abajo a la izquierda.
Preciosa foto, preciosos colores y preciosa luz.
Otra para mis favoritas.
Excelente trabajo.

Εγώ πιστεύω ότι ο ήλιος κατά 95% είναι στη σωστή θέση. Μπορεί να υπερφωτίζει κάπως το δεξιό τμήμα αλλά αυτή η πρόσκαιρη λάμψη χάνεται στο διαδοχικό σκοτάδι όπως ακολουθούμε την διαδρομή από δεξιά προς τ' αριστερά. Τα χρώματα -ιδίως στο σκοτεινό κομμάτι- είναι όμορφα και απαλά, σαν χάδι αγαπημένη γυναίκας. Ο φωτισμός ακολουθεί την απαλότητα και χύνεται ομοιόμορφα στο τοπίο. Μπράβο!

Muy buen tiro panoramico de Milos en su puesta de sol. Los colores suaves unidos a la composición hacen que sea un gran trabajo.

Hi, Hercules! I've been to some of the Greek Islands and the most impressive were Santorini (incredible) and Mykonos... I didn't know about Milos, so beautiful in your pic! Is it close to those? This pic and the good note make me think about another trip! Congratulations! Miguel.

One word : AWESOME!

Great, great light..stunning view, nice warm lights. Just right on time, else it probably had gotten to dark. I like the church being lonely at the right, having a good contrast there! Then town town on the left side, just great composed. I like the island(s) in the sea, they add some interest to it.
The sky is really nice. Good stitchwork.
Well done, great great share.

Wanted to head for Milos allready, this only makes me wanting more..I'm homesick..missing my second home :)
