Photographer's Note

Sea squill is a bulb which sends up a tall stalk topped by an inflorescence of small white flowers, followed by a rosette of large dull green leaves, that last until the following summer. In summer they can be found all over the Greek Islands and the whole of the eastern Mediterranean. These particular ones had a fine view of the bay at Emborios in Kalymnos. Emborios is the last village in the north part of Kalymnos and is a coastal, quite village with beautiful beaches and friendly people.
