Photographer's Note

This is a partial view of Patras, from a well-known vantage point. The "Ipsila Alonia" square.
At the backdrop you can see the waterfront of the city of Patras.
The square is a very beautiful place full of coffee-shops and restaurants.

I had the chance to visit Patras just prior to the infamous "salvation deal with Europe"
(ha ha ha) and while the controversial rumors about a visible Grexit where at a high peak.
So, this beautiful square was almost empty of people, due to the current situation .
It was really a sad sight.
p.s.
Looking at all the beautiful images of my country, uploaded here in Trekearth and considering all the difficulties we have been through, for so many centuries, I desperately crave for a better future.
We all (or at least most of the Greeks, deserve it), as most of us have no connection with our corrupt political system and some corrupted citizens.
The Greek people have made so many sacrifices and have suffered many bad things, and I want to scream out loud, to all Europe and not only, that we demand the future we deserve. (not a gloomy, but a bright one).
However, right now, I think I am screaming in the abyss......

Thank you for visiting.
I wish a bright future to all.....
