Landscape of the Vouraikos gorge in its wider part.
In the 19th century, various minerals were mined around the gorge, in WS you can see a photo of red rocks, the red color is a sign of the content of iron ore.
The narrow-gauge railway, with which tourists now admire the gorge, was originally used to transport minerals to ports on the Corinthian Gulf.
