Photographer's Note

Station of the narrow-gauge railway connecting the coast of the Corinthian Gulf with Kalavryta in the Aroania mountains (built 1889-1896). It was originally built to transport minerals to the port of Diakopto on the Corinthian Gulf.
The line leads through the Vouraikos gorge. This is a difficult terrain where the altitude difference is 720 meters, the length of the route is 22,3 km. The train goes through 6 tunnels and 49 bridges, but it is worth to spend one hour in the train, views are simply unique.
