Photographer's Note

The Great Baths were situated near the south gate of this old city.
The heating system used in those bats of Dion was known as principle( hypocaust: a low basement under the floor .Hot air produced by a furnace stocked from outside, circulated among the short pillars supporting the floor.
The hot air also entered spaces in the walls of the baths that communicated with the hypocaust.The walls were double separated by a hollow and held in place with irons studs and terracotta spacers
