The story of each lightning begins in the sky, continues on the earth and ends up in the cloud that gave birth to it. Because they may have painted the clouds in the Renaissance as ... comfortable angel sofas, but then they did not know that in these malleable ornaments of heaven there was a laugh. Especially in what we call "stormy clouds" or piles of raindrops or clouds of rain. The humid air above the sea or even when it starts to rise is cooled, but not so as to be cooler than the surrounding layers, because then it will not rise again. It comes at a time when the water vapor is condensed, cooled so that there are water, flakes, hail in the interior of the cloud, but also something like the ice-crushed ice. Then begins the descent, reheat and the rain appears at the bottom of the cloud. By leaving, the water leaves the cloud containing more solid particles, which through the upward and downward movements have been rubbed and charged. At the top we find the positively charged and the lower the negative, the cloud looks like a huge battery. Then, between the surface of the ground and the bottom of the cloud, a voltage of 20 or 30 million volts is generated. This forces many electrons to break away from the atoms and molecules of the air where they belonged and this is called ionization. This creates positively and negatively charged particles that begin to occur between the cloud and the ground. The state where we have the same coexistence of positive and negative particles we call it plasma (no relation to blood plasma) and this ... obedient to the electric fields "homyir" opens the way of falling the loads of the cloud into the ground. Only because they always follow the easiest (and not the shortest geometric) route, it can be jagged, on steps of 50 meters, creating the familiar classical images. The thunderbolt is emptying the negative loads of the cloud on the ground and it is silent and invisible. It is an electric current of about 10,000 amperes and this necessarily generates heat of many thousands of degrees. However, its energy stimulates the electrons of the air molecules without distracting them, and as they return to their original orbits, they emit the known light that accompanies the lightning.
