Photographer's Note

On Smolikas mountain, and in altitude of 2200m, lays a small lake 120m long and 80m wide. It's name is Drakolimni (Dragonlake).
Right across on Tymphe mountain lays a similar lake also named Drakolimni.
** You may find its image in my gallery **
In both these lakes, live small amphibia (20 cm long) name Tritones (Tritons) and which resemble dragons.

Myth 1: there were 2 dragons living on tops of those 2 mountains, who from time to time kept swinging rocks to each other till one of them died and fell into the lake..after a while the first dragon not being able to bare the loneliness, fell into the lake as well.. their evolution created the Tritons.
Myth 2: the dragon from Smolikas started throwing tree tranks to Tymphe's dragon that in return started throwing rocks. Smolika's dragonlake is surrounded by trees and there are rocks on the bottom of the lake, whereas Typmhe's dragonlake is surrounded by rocks and there are tree stubs on the bottom of the lake.
