Photographer's Note

An old lock of an old door of an old stone building, in an old village, Vamos, one of the most beautiful villages in Crete, surrounded by a beautiful landscape, that unlike Aradena' landscape it's not "wild", but "mild". Many beautiful stone buildings with fancy colours in the village, some of them abandoned like the one in the photo.

As times passes by, the red paint turns into grey-blue. Does this happen also with our blood?

Some "Mantinades" (short, traditional folk poems of Crete) about Time passing by, for the Greek friends (I apologize to the others, I can't translate them, even some Greeks might not understand the Cretan dialect):

* να ήξερα
** τουλάχιστον
