Photographer's Note

South Pacific? No, it's the Aegean Sea!
In the middle ages, Gramvoussa - in the extreme west of Crete island - was an important hiding place for Pirates. Nowadays it's the sunlovers who visit the beaches of Gramvoussa (this one here is called Balos) without any grief, but hopefully with the appropriate respect for this treasure of nature. The good news are that you can reach this place only by boat or descending a steep hill by foot!
