Photographer's Note

Arachova is a mountain town in the western part of Boeotia. Its name is of South Slavic origin and denotes a place with walnut trees. It is a tourist destination due to its location in the mountains, its traditions and its proximity to the town of Delphi. The town is a popular day or weekend trip destination from Attica and a gathering place for the rich and famous.
Arachova has a panoramic view, uphill small houses and the cobbled streets show picturesque architecture. The town centre includes a huge and steep cliff, the Bell Tower, covered with dense ivy. At the top of the tower is a large 10m height clock.

Hello Malgo,
This photo shows once again what a great difference it makes to look at the enlarged version. The details become so much clearer and sharper. It is really worth the very small trouble. This is a stunning view, also in the WS where the cloud sinks down on the houses and the one where people are standing by the large sign (so many towns have built such signs in recent years; I am happy as long as there isn't any in Stockholm).

Hello Malgo

I went straight from Delpi to Meteora and then to Corfu, so I missed this town and its spectacular mountain setting. Good sharpness and framing. Tfs!

Also your two additional picture with clouds or fog are excellent made.
The main picture this is the most beautiful.
In new tab can we the village perfect see, with all the houses on the slope of the mountain.
An excellent composition, nice presentation too.

A great photo from the mountains with this village spread across the slopes so high up into the clouds, which make a good background. The foreground has a nice mix of green and yellow colours.

This is the place I said before that I had never heard of it.
Arachova nevertheless looks very nice, especially in these general panoramas.

Hi Malgo,
Original view, in miniature we only seem to see a landscape and a hill, the city and the houses appear better on the large format, a style of buildings which is integrated in the landscape. Good sharpness and framing with the Ws too.

The diagonal slope and the village built upon shown in a superb contrast and clarity, Malgo.
I like the division of the picture space with the clouds seem hanging above the trough across. Excellent POV found.
