having his photo taken didn't seem to bother this man i met on a boat a few days ago, either because he wasn't really aware of me standing there with a telephoto or because he just knew I would HDR it afterwards ;)

What an excellent portrait. A very good composition with perfectly matching colours. I only wish I had taken this picture myself.

Very cool photo, Kostas!
There is definitely something otherworldly, or maybe "othertimely" in this photo. Everything, not only the man, seem to come from the 60ies.
The colors and texture are lovely.
And the man.. he probably is listening to the wind. What is somebody with telephoto to him?..

Hi Kostas -

Love it! It has real depth in the image, HDR can really make an image pop and you certainly have made this pop.

I assume this is a single frame HDR?

Can you explain to me, what you did with HDR.
Do you mean tonemapping? And what kind of adjustments did you do? Plug in for Photoshop or the stand alone version of HDR Matix?
Because your result is phenomenal.

Hi Kostas,

This picture almost has a cartoon feel to it! It is so overly sharpened and in a sense quite surreal. I like how the man fits the boat. The boat must have been new when he was still young. And they both aged in the same way. In a sense, his whole being there totally corresponds with the decay on the red chairs. I like how that is captured in your picture. Good one, though I'm missing the picture data and info on post processing. That's a bit of a pity...

From the thumbnail it looked like a painting and it's an amazing effect you have achieved.

Τι έκφραση αλήθεια!Πράγματι σαν από άλλη εποχή.
Εκπληκτική απεικόνιση!Μου αρέσει ο τρόπος που κάθεται και πως ο αέρας "παίζει" με την γραβάτα του.Ενδιαφέρον σημείο λήψης!

This is very good. Not at all the standard shot and not in an ordinary place. I love the faded orange seats setting up a pattern against the neutral wall in the back. And all this helps define a not-so-ordinary man, tie askew, in an unguarded moment. Great shot!
