The Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro Stadium) was built in the years 330-329 BC of white marble by Lykourgos for the Panathenaic Games.
This is one of the most significant reconstructed ancient buildings in Athens. It was refurbished for the Olympic Games in 1896. The stadium has a length of 204.7 m and a width of 33.35 m and can accommodate 80,000 spectators.
