Photographer's Note

This is the roof of the colourful Academy of Athens building, one of 3 classical Greek buildings all in a row on Omonoia Street in Athens. (National Library, Deanery University & Academy of Athens). It gives you an idea of what the Acropolis buildings and other ancient Greek Temples might have looked like in their heyday. Taken late afternoon when the last rays of sunlight have shifted the colour temperature towards yellow and red.

Here is a shot showing all 3 in Omonoia Street.

The Panepistimio metro stop is adjacent. The spikes and netting are to prevent pigeons leaving their mess.
