Photographer's Note

A part of the small town St.Goarshausen,situated on the eastern shore of the Rhine,in the Middle Rhine valley,approx. 30 km. South of Koblenz.
On the top of the rock lies the castle "Katz".
It was first built around 1371,
in 1806 it was bombarded and was re-built between 1896-1898.
It is now privately owned,and not open for visitors.

Really nice view of this well-known (to me at least) castle, excellent vertical progression, maybe it would be better to include more of the reflections of the houses. Next time - Burg Maus? :)

Bonjour Dimitris,
il y a quelques années, j'ai fait cette croisière sur le Rhin, qui s'est terminée par un feu d'artifice la nuit.
Une photo très nette qui rend avec précision, les beautés des rives de ce fleuve.
Les couleurs sont fantastiques, les lumières aussi.
Une mise au point hyper précise.

Μια πολύ όμορφη φωτογραφία από ένα πανέμορφο μέρος που η οξύτητα και τα "καθαρά" φυσικά χρώματα τονίζουν την ομορφιά του.
Πολύ καλή POV, κάνει τον πύργο με φόντο τον καταγάλανο ουρανό να ξεχωρίζει.

It always amazes me how they built things like that in such inaccessible places. I try to imagine the poor workers having to cart all the building materials and tools up that sheer clif. Beautiful vertical frame, I love the glassy colourful reflections in the foreground and the vertical frame gives us such a great sense of depth. Lovely shot.
