Photographer's Note

Breitenstein (1622 m) is one of the lower summits in the Bavarian alps, about an hour's drive from Munich. The day started with lots of rain, so we choose an easy hike. The fog at the top was hiding almost everything around the mountain, so the look goes down to the ascending path. Below the summit is Hubertushütte (the hut visible down there), where the hungry hiker can buy food and drink. Many day hikes in the Bavarian alps are like this, and it seems that some people walk up there for the tasty food at the huts - and a beer, of course.
