Photographer's Note

The cities in Rhine valley were stricken by two consecutive floodings in April and May 1983, only six weeks apart.
This is Cologne with the world famous gothic cathedral in the background and romanesque Groß St. Martin church, just in the center of the historic city.
Rhine promenades are only accessible by boat or submarine. The gauge shows a considerable 9,37 m, the maximum had been 4 cm more and was topped by 15 cm six weeks after.
This shows the situation in more totality, while my yesterday's post displayed some details.
Captured on slide film with Canon A1, professionally digitalized.
