Photographer's Note

Next stop, slowly travelling north...Bamberg.

BAMBERG was included on our Rundfahrt, because it was recommended by friends, and again we were not disappointed. This lovely little city in the north of Bavaria is indeed most picturesque.

Extra salt was added by the city's connection to the enigmantic Romantic writer E.T.A. Hoffman. And the city is also famous for its "Rauchbier", a smoked beer, which I, being a good old Belgian beer lover, just had to try. (I liked it.)

THIS PICTURE is classic Bamberg. The town hall on the bridge is smack dab in the middle of the historical town centre and Bamberg's most famous sight.
