Photographer's Note

Next stop: Harburg Castle, still on the Romantische Strasse!

---

Harburg Castle in Harburg is an extensive mediaeval complex from the 11th / 12th century. Originally it was a Staufer castle, now it is owned by the princely House of Oettingen-Wallerstein.

Even better: you can spend the night there (as we did). No luxury lodgings, but surprisingly down to earth, friendly and affordable. With a simple, but good restaurant in the castle square, which is more or less from where this picture was taken.

Not a bad place to stay!

WORKSHOP for those who prefer a more alternative style of pictures.
