Photographer's Note

This must be one of the oldest photos in my archive which has already been digitalized.

Not Moselle (from France via Luxembourg into Germany and therefore from west to east) but Lahn river (from east to west, but a tributary of the Rhine as well, and with their mouths near Koblenz for both of them).

From the physicist's point of view, it is interesting that the bow wave has an opening angle of 39, regardless of speed and regardless of swan or boat or ship.

@Holmertz: This is the water's original colour in the light of a faint February sun - I did not select sepia or any other kind of processing.
