Photographer's Note

Johanniskirche in the Old Town of Magdeburg. Saint Jean's church now hosts many events, but we do not know the date of construction; it was mentioned for the first time in 1170. This monument was destroyed four times between 1207 and 1945, then restored each time. Martin Luther preached here on 26the June 1524, after which Magdeburg became a Protestant town.
From the top of the 60m-high south tower, there is a fine panoramic view over Magdeburg.
