Photographer's Note

Here in Germany the Osterhase (Easter Bunny, Easter Hare) is a fantasy character depictred as a hare bringing Easter eggs. In legend, the creature carries coloured eggs in his basket, candy and sometimes also toys to the homes of children. This custom was first mentioned in 1682.

I took this photo in a little restaurant situated in the forests of the low mountain range Rothaargebirge north of my city, Siegen. It's called "Hasenbahnhof" that means “hare station”. I don't know why, but in my region there are several junctions with more than 5 hiking trails/forest tracks which have got the name "Hasenbahnhof". This little restaurant has this name because it's situated not far away from such a crossing in the forest. In map view you can see it some hundered meters north of the restaurant.
