Photographer's Note

In the middle of the Black Forest mountains lies the charming Titisee glacial lake.
The scenery we discovered was almost unreal with abundant, untouched snow and a frozen lake. As we later found out it wasn't frozen deep enaugh to allow skating, not even a walk.

*Titisee takes a long time to freeze in the winter owing to the winds, which almost always keep the surface water moving. For the lake to be opened for use, ice samples must reach a thickness of at least 16 cm.
