Photographer's Note

...one of the most beautiful and best maintained moated castles in North Rhine-Westphalia. The first written documents date this castle to 1396 with still older foundations.
Satzvey Castle has been owned by the family of Count Beissel von Gymnich for over 300 years and is still used as their family residence. Well known far beyond the region's boundaries, Satzvey Castle is most famous for its historic festivals and is often featured in the media as a model for excellent monument preservation.

Hallo Dimitris. Ein Burg wie aus dem Märchen. Was man doch alles kennenlernt, wenn man die Bilder auf TE betrachtet. Selbst das eigene Heimatland bietet noch viele Überraschungen. Und tatsächlich gibt es auf meiner Deutschlandkarte noch viele weiße Flecken. So z. b. auch die Burg Satzvey. Dein Text gibt die notwendigen Hintergrundinformationen. Sehr schön. Ein tolles Bild. Even under the dark sky the reflections in the water are almost perfect.

This castle would be a fine subject alone but with those reflections is really a magnificent photo!
I love also the lovely flowers in foreground and the dark dramamtic sky which contrasts with the illuminated part below.

dieses tolle Motiv hast du bestens fotografiert. Deine Komposition mit den Farbtupfern (Blumen) im Vordergrund als Einleitung für die schöne Burg und deren klasse Spiegelungen auf dem Wasser sind absolut sehenswert. Auch der dunkle Himmel im Hintergrund passt hervorragend. Mein Kompliment.

zopet pišem, po izteku prepovedi pisanja kritik, ki je trajala en teden.
začel sem pisati kritike v mojem jeziku. ta predlog mi je dal gospod, ki ga jaz globoko cenim in spoštujem. on je senior član na Trekearth. stric google bo poskrbel za dober prevod.
gledam fotografijo in če človek ne pogleda dobro, potem ne veš kaj je refleksija in kaj je realno. prijetno presenečenje! odlične barve, ostrina in žive barve rož v ospredju. moje čestitke!

That's a beautiful shot of Burg Satzvey - the bright flowers are a great counterbalance to the dark clouds above. Some of the colors in the flowers seem a bit oversaturated, but it's still a lovely photo.

You should make it back to satzvey for their medieval Christmas market - it's fantastic!

This is an amazing shot of this well maintained castle. The reflection is outstanding and provides perfect depth and balance for the shot. The flowers in the foreground creates a nice border as well as adding more depth for the shot. The lighting and colors are outstanding and the photo has nice sharpness. άλλο ένα παραμυθένιο κάστρο, μια πραγματικά φανταστική κατοικία! Μας παρουσιάζεις το εντυπωσιακό κτήριο με μαγευτικό τρόπο. Το περίγραμμα και οι υφές του έχουν αποδοθεί με εξαιρετική οξύτητα, ακόμα και στις αντανακλάσεις. Οι πέτρινοι τοίχοι και τα πολύχρωμα λουλούδια αναδίνουν μια ευχάριστη ζεστασιά που έρχεται σε εκπληκτική αντίθεση με τα βαθιά, μουντά χρώματα. Μια εικόνα που αποχωρίζεσαι με δυσκολία.
