Photographer's Note

This photograph presents old crane in the city Stade in Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen), Germany.
It was taken with a simple old compact camera and is not of great quality but I decided to share it because I have noticed that there are just 3 shots from this town on TE. This area is in a close proximity of Hamburg which makes it an excellent weekend trip for Hamburgers. Stade is situated at the edge of the Altes Land, picturesque area full of fruit trees, which looks especially lovely in the springtime when miles of trees are blooming.

TE Location
I have noticed that there is a mess in the locations of photos from Germany as well. Some people put in Niedersachsen e.g. Lubeck (which belongs to Schelswig-Holstein), or Bremen (which makes an independent County). Moreover there is plenty of misunderstanding regarding the spelling. Stade is an easy case but for example Warnemunde which is part of Rostock, is to be found as Warnemunde (English version), or Warnemuende (way of German spelling), or Rostock-Warnemuende.
Which one should I choose. I have noticed the same for Ireland or Poland. I believe it is pity that nobody checks it.

Camera and PP
The shot was taken with a compact Kodak Easyshare camera 5Mpx. The quality was not the best but I still decided to share this shot, so to improve it I have optimized it with pseudo-HDR technique.
