Photographer's Note

Although view from the tower of St Petri Church in Lubeck is quite popular, I have never come across a photo taken from this POV at the blue hour, but I never really looked for that either. They are closing such amazing viewpoints quite early not taking into account that the most romantic atmosphere is exactly at the blue hour. Luckily in the wintertime they did not shorten the opening times substantially so few minutes before closing I managed to take few blue hour photos. To see a much more classical view of Holstentor CLICK HERE. The other photo shows the gate from the other side which means that the high church tower in the right is POV for this picture here. I have struggled a bit with the perspective and I finally gave up. Also because the actual gate is at the moment a bit tilted. I have showed previously on TE a photo from the same tower but facing another direction, CLICK HERE to see it. The most impressive would be probably the view of the town hall square, but always when I was on the tower there were some huge trucks parking in the middle of the square.
I have spent in Lubeck 2.5 years. I like to come back to this time in my head. It reminds me that no matter how hopeless my situation was at that time I succeeded to move on.
