Photographer's Note

After he brightened up the darkness at places all over the world artist Hans Peter Kuhn created the light installation for the water tower at Fehrbach, the northern suburb of Pirmasens. The light changes its colour very slowly through the night. This way the light sculpture is not to irritating for drivers on the high frequented state road B10 you can see at the right bottom of the photo. The water tower itself was built in 1957/58, is 31 metres high, and holds 800 cubic metres water. It went "in service" as an artwork on August 3rd 2005. At this occasion a fast run showed the spectators all the color changes of a year.

The photo above is only one of more than 70 I took during 90 minutes.
