Saarburg

Photographer's Note

La Sarre dans les environs de Saarburg. Le source se trouve dans les Vosges et elle se jette dans la Moselle à Konz, près de Trier, après 227 km. Depuis une dizaine d'années la Sarre est navigable de Konz à Sarreguemines. A partir de Sarreguemines le Canal des houillères de la Sarre relie cette dernière au canal de la Marne au Rhin. On peut donc, au départ de Luxembourg, Remich, faire une boucle en bateau. Le trajet prend environs une semaine. Cette boucle est connue sous le nom de 'kleine Sauerkraut-tour?' ( la petite boucle de la choucroute).
The river Saar near Saarburg. The river has its source in the Vogese mountains and joins the Moselle river in Konz after 227 km. It is navigable till Sarreguemines. At Sarreguemines it is connected with the Marne -Rhine canal by the Saar-Kohlenkanal, and from there you can join Strasbourg or Nancy.

Guten Abend John!
Schöner geht's kaum! Da muss ich auch noch hin. Eine wirklich wunderschöne Sommerlandschaft, die Ruhe und Gelassenheit ausstrahlt. Der Baum rechts schafft eine gute Tiefe und das Bild wird fast dreidimensional. Wurde das Foto von einem Boot aus aufgenommen? ;-)

Hello John,
A lovely crisp and clear image. The composition well suits the square frame with the trees on the right creating a great sense of depth. Beautiful light combined with natural tones bring out the nuances in the greenery to great effect. Superb sharpness.

Dag John,

De eerste tekeningen zijn te zien van de herst twee jaar geleden.
U bouwt hier een mooie samenstelling met de Saar in de voorgrond overgaand naar het groen gedeelte, samen met de dorre berghelling.
Ook de licht bewolkte hemel heeft hier zijn rol te spelen.
Goed foto werk, bedankt.

this is quite an interesting photo of a beautiful corner of Nature.. and I like the choice of a square format of the picture:) beautiful reflection in the water and softness of greenery near the water make it look almost like a painting with quiet lovely colours :)

Hi John,
A spacious framing full of summer feeling. Big river with steep slopes is picturesque. That tree gives good framing on the right. I wouldn't mind seeing one or two ships there too.

Bonjour John,
Le parcours que tu proposes semble aussi extasiant qu'une croisière sur le Canal du Midi. L'échantillon photographique est de toute beauté. La lumière de septembre révèle toutes les nuances de la couleur verte. Très belle image de qualité. Bravo.
