Photographer's Note

Piesport is a village located along the Mosel river.

Harving crossed French and Luxemburg, river Mosel passes in Germany to come to throw itself Rhein in Koblenz.
Between Trier and Koblenz, Mosel's valley is particulary nice: broad meanders, slapes covered with grapevines, old villages of winegrowers or fishers.

Hello Roger,

A lovely picturesque shot showing this beautiful village. I like the well maintained green fields . The steeple of the church stands out. The passenger boat in the foreground is a nices addition. Colors and sharpness are superb.

La distance entre le bateau et la rive donne de la profondeur à la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs du village. La qualité de la lumière met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bon weekend.

Peut-être des vikings qui vont piller le village dans ce moderne drakkar motorisé :) Le village et les pentes couvertes de vignes sont agréables et intéressants à voir. Bon cadrage comme d'habitude, excellentes lumière, couleurs et netteté. Bravo.

beautiful view from Germany. I have lived in this country for 7 years yet I have never visited this particular region. It seems so photogenic. The village has such a charming location between the river and the vineyards. The boat adds some more interest and action. Cutting away the sky created a very interesting effect.

What a charming riverscape we have here with this striking replica of an old time river craft steaming towards this quaint village and the well manicured lush green fields on the steep hillside.
