A half-timbered house of Dernau, half a year after the inundations.
The image shows that the floods went up to the middle of the second floor, despite the fact that this house stands in a street 140 m away from Ahr river. All wall segments below had to be cut out, including the floors, of course.
I wonder if this is even the better case, compared with the problems which many people have with their stone houses.

Hi Sven,perfect example of disaster of 6 months ago, the house is half destroyed, it seems that there are now work in progress to save and renovate, sad memory still there after a lot of months. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano
