Photographer's Note

Burg Eltz is a fairytale castle with many stacked and interlocking gables and oriels, roofs and miniature towers,
sits in splendour atop a rocky cliff in the Eltzbach valley above the Moselle river between Koblenz and Trier.
It took more than 500 years to build and is still completely intact.
About 100 members of the owners'families lived in the over 100 rooms of the castle.
It is still owned by a branch of the same family that lived there in the 12th century,33 generations ago.

In the WS a view of the interior courtyard.
