Photographer's Note

The imposing moated castle Dyck is regarded as one of the most important cultural monuments on the Lower Rhine and can look back upon nearly 1000 years of history. Built on four islands in the 17th century, the castle complex lies at the heart of the spacious park. This park was created at the instigation of Prince Joseph zu Salm-Reifferscheidt-Dyck by the Scottish landscape gardener Thomas Blaikie in the style of the English landscape garden in the 19th century. As Centre for Garden Art and Landscape Design, Schloss Dyck today has much to offer to families and visitors interested in culture as well as garden lovers and experts. Apart from the historic park and gardens, the entire grounds of 70 ha showcase a wealth of new gardens reaching from modern landscape architecture over themed gardens and examples of home gardens up to an adventure play area.

Superb "blue hour" with the coloured nad dored light which arise in the blue/black of the night. Beautiful reflections in the water too. I like the POV which give a plesanat prospect effet. Good photowork.

This is a fantastic blue hour shot! The blending of natural and artificial lighting is outstanding creating a very appealing image. The reflection is great and adds depth to the scene. The angle of the shot works well allowing us to see more than one side of the castle creating depth and a sense of direction.

il y a de l'audace dans cette photo bien retravaillée, les couleurs, dans ces lumières spéciales semblent nous narguer. Le moment dans la journée a été bien choisi et te rapprocher de l'eau aurait donné des reflets plus imposants, mais je suppose que tu as choisi ce POV avec soin.

Great night shot with lots of warm colors, looks like a floating fairy land dominating but i like the redish warm colors makes a superb contrast, as well as good anchor to the eyes. Excellent clarity you have caught a good point in the display of varied colors. The gorgeous reflections on the water and the path make for good foreground giving plenty enough depth. The wonderful dark blue sky looks so lovely and blends superbly in the scene. Spectacular shot, worth the effort. Love it, Congrats and TFS

ελπίζω να είσαι καλά! Αυτή η φωτογραφία είναι πραγματικά υπέροχη, φαίνεται μια απλή σύνθεση αλλά είναι γεμάτη επιτεύγματα παρά τον δύσκολο φωτισμό. Μου αρέσει πάρα πολύ η δυναμική προοπτική που μας επιτρέπει να δούμε και το πλάι του εντυπωσιακού κτηρίου. Ο φωτισμός, οι αντανακλάσεις και οι υφές κάνουν το κάστρο να φαίνεται ανάλαφρο, σαν να είναι από γυαλί και να φωτίζεται από μέσα. Θαυμάσια και ζωντανά τα σκούρα χρώματα, εξαιρετικό το βάθος και οι αντιθέσεις. Συγχαρητήρια και ευχαριστώ!
